This short, practical agreement trialling workshop will assist delegates to improve their understanding of the assessment criteria for the early years foundation stage profile assessment.
Practitioners are invited to sharpen their skills as they engage in a professional dialogue to substantiate judgements in tracking and assessment for the literacy early learning goals. Delegates will be encouraged to share ideas around effective practice and to particularly reflect on how they have closed the gap in attainment between different groups of children vulnerable to underachievement.
There will be opportunities for practitioners to critically evaluate the strength of their evidence base as they select which outcome level ” best fits” for individual children. Practitioners will also have the chance to refine their professional dialogue skills.
