Seminar: GDPR Preparing for Implementation

Outline

The meeting will cover:

  • What we know about the GDPR change
  • The information and data kept by schools
  • Monitoring, auditing and managing information
  • How Lambeth can support schools with meeting the changed requirements

Description

Our interim Information Lawyer Matt Ginn who previously worked with schools in the London Borough of Richmond will talk to you about the changes being brought in by the new Data Protection Bill 2018 as required by GDPR.

He will cover such issues as:
  • the new rights that data subjects have
  • the changes to subject access request procedures
  • the increased fines and
  • the things that you can do to get ready for the new Act.

Outcomes

Schools will have a clearer understanding of the implications of the new regulation and how the Local Authority Data Protection Officer might support schools
