Patrick Vernon OBE sponsored by National Education Union (NEU) has created an excellent 100 Great Black Britons competition for children and young people of all ages. The competition is for young people to create a fun and unique project celebrating Black Britons and their legacy. Please see attachments for more information, and please pass onto your pupils. Competition deadline: 30th September 2020.
Patrick has also curated the 100 Great Black Britons resources page, which includes lesson plans and resources focused on Black history, experience, politics and much more. Teachers can also submit resources to this page. These 100 Great Black Britons resources will be extremely useful in continuing work on developing and delivering an inclusive Lambeth curriculum, complementing the Raising the Game primary curriculum resources already created and disseminated – click here to access.
