Teaching Leaders and Future Leaders: Selective programmes for high potential middle leaders and senior leaders

Following on from the launch of Ambition School Leadership in November, I’m pleased to confirm applications for the 2017 cohorts of our selective programmes are now open. I believe we have common goals and by continuing to build our existing relationship we can make a bigger impact on pupils across your school; these programmes could be a start to that:

Teaching Leaders: our flagship programme for high-potential middle leaders looking to increase their impact, with tailored primary and secondary pathways.

Future Leaders: our flagship programme for high-potential senior leaders who have the talent and commitment to become headteachers within two-three years.

*Executive Educators: our flagship programme for system leaders, with tailored programmes for aspiring or serving executive headteachers and CEOs of multi-academy trusts.

We are able to offer subsidies of up to 50% off the normal cost of some of these programmes for any schools based in DfE Achieving Excellence Areas (AEA) categories 5 and 6, or in Opportunity Areas. These subsidies are limited, so please get in touch as soon as possible if you have schools in these areas.

In addition, we’re always looking at how we can add value to our partnerships and in turn maximise the impact on pupils. Our latest analysis of existing research shows that effective leadership can have a life-changing impact on pupils, especially those growing up in challenging contexts. We’ve summarised and linked several research reports looking at what makes great leaders at all levels covering CEOs, executive heads, headteachers and middle leaders. I hope this is useful to you.

As this new term gets underway, now is the perfect time to consider succession planning to build leadership capacity, retain and develop talent across your school.

If you would like to discuss your needs further, please reply to arrange a meeting, or to nominate yourself or leaders from across your school for a programme send, your – or their – name, job title and email address.
